Melissa Dean.
Artist.
Boudoir Photographer.
Soul Journeyer.
The Shadow Mirror. The Initiator. The Death-and-Rebirth Guide. Melissa isn’t the healer or the alchemist. She’s the one who stands at the threshold of who you were and who you’re becoming...the doorway where something old must die so the real you can rise.
She doesn’t comfort you. She doesn’t fix you. She doesn’t soften the edges to make the truth easier to swallow. She shows you exactly where you’ve been hiding. She says the thing you’ve been avoiding. She cuts through your excuses with compassion and clarity.
Her magic is the kind that forces evolution. It’s the kind that dismantles the ego so your soul can breathe again. It’s the kind that turns a breakdown into a beginning.
She is the Catalyst —
the spark, the disruption, the awakening.
She holds up a mirror that doesn’t lie. Not because she wants to hurt you, but because she knows you’re capable of more than the version of you that’s still clinging to survival mode.
Women don’t leave her presence the same.
Her work — whether in her studio, her book, her voice, or her energy — initiates a death. Not a literal one. A symbolic one: The death of the small self. The death of the mask. The death of the girl who was scared to take up space. This is why her book is called Let Her Die.
It’s not just a title... it’s a reflection of her archetype.
She isn’t here to soothe you. She’s here to awaken you. To ignite the self you buried. To initiate your evolution. To remind you of your own power. To give you back your crown.
And once you stand in front of her mirror, you cannot unsee what’s been waiting to rise.
I consider myself down to earth and a little sarcastic. I love random chats about life, traveling and creating art. When we meet, I can promise you 2 things - I don't like surface level chats and I will likely push you out of your comfort zone.
I'm also a mom of 3. A recreational soccer player. A kickball enthusiast. Baking is my love language.
I love going to all of my kids sports. I use cannabis every night and force my husband to sit and talk to me in the garage. I can make a mean batch of homemade chicken strips. What I do in my studio is my soul calling.
I adore cats...and if I see one, I must pet it. I'm quiet until I'm not. I experience the world through my camera more often than not. I love capturing in-between moments. I started my book after taking notes about tools that were helping me on my journey. That was a whole adventure in itself.
I think our whole existence is random and that we're here to connect, love, and experience all life has to offer.
Much Love.
