I’ve always been self conscious about the way I look (especially those thick hips!) and I’ve never really felt confident with how I look in a swimsuit or lingerie. Today I took the leap and did something I NEVER thought I would do and I am so glad that I did!!


I had so much fun during my session and the hardest part of the whole process was the mental game I played with myself leading up to the session thinking I’d look horrible in front of the camera. I was SO wrong!


The entire time I felt so at ease and Melissa helped direct me for all of the shots, which was incredibly helpful. Oh and her setup- SUPER CUTE, you’re going to love it.


I did this not only as an anniversary gift for my husband, but more importantly to prove to myself that I can look sexy and be comfortable and confident in my own skin. I can’t wait to get my photos!!! So even if you THINK this is something you might want to try- just go for it, you won’t regret it!!


UPDATE: OMG I got my gallery today…. I had to share. I felt so amazing after my shoot with Melissa, but after seeing my photos today I found a new appreciation for myself in ways that I’ve never known. So glad that I went on this journey!!!! Added Bonus- my husband LOVED the photos!

I had the best time doing my boudoir shoot with Melissa Dean. She made me feel so comfortable and we had so much fun. I have so many insecurities about my body. But Melissa helped me to see how bad ass my body is. This body gave birth to 3 children. This body fought cancer and chemo and won. This body holds my battle scars. This body is amazing! Is it flawless? Absolutely not! But it is me, and I am proud. If you are on the fence about whether you should or should not do the photo shoot, do it!
